My name is Josh, a proud Kansas Citian born and raised; and proud to still call Kansas City home!
I was ordained in 2009 to ensure that when it became legalized for same-sex couples to marry federally, I was able to provide a loving, caring, and thoughtful ceremony to the LGBTQ+ community after hearing concerns of this being available.
Since that time, I have had the privilege to be a part of many different weddings for all different walks of life! We truly look forward to the opportunity to be a part of your special day, no matter how big or small!
Lisa Vanderheiden

My name is Lisa. A California native, I’ve spent the last decade traveling and studying anthropology. Kansas City lured me into permanent residence with its overabundance of heart and easy living. Over the course of my experiences I have seen love with many different faces and customs, all deserving to be celebrated. I became ordained so I could help couples celebrate each other, in their own fashion. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you shape the ceremony that best represents your love for each other.

With an Associate’s Degree in Theater & a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry, Michael is capable of delivering a customized wedding experience ranging from traditional to theatrical and everything in between. As a National Public Speaking Champion, he is comfortable in front of crowds of all sizes, well-spoken, and has a penchant for weddings. Although he has been seen on stage as both a pastor and an actor, you can rely on this versatile officiant to provide a professional level of service whether your ideal ceremony is civil or religious, serious or comical, casual or extravagant.

My name is Rainy. Kansas City has been my home for over 25 years. Through my studies of various religions, psychology, spirituality and my personal lived experiences, I truly believe “whatever the question, love is the answer” (Wayne Dyer). I became ordained to help proclaim and celebrate the true love of all couples declaring their love and devotion to each other in such a public way. I consider it an honor and privilege to assist couples with articulating and designing a wedding ceremony that speaks to the uniqueness of your attraction, bond, and commitment to each other. I look forward to working alongside you in even a small way to make this event all that you’ve envisioned.

My name is Emily, and I have spent the last few years getting to know the ins-and-outs of the Kansas City area. I have met amazing people along the way and am thrilled to continue to do so through Wedley Weddings. Storytelling is an art - learning about the devotion others share with one another and displaying that to the world is a passion. My personal experience with love is marrying my husband in an intimate yet detail-filled elopement on the steps of the New York Public Library. My goal is to bring that level of personalization to weddings big and small here in KC!
